Q: How many surveys will I be expected to do?
A: We don’t have any requirement on the number of surveys you fill in. You can take part in as many or few as you like. All we ask for is honest feedback on the products and services you have bought or used to help inform all members.
Q: How often will I be sent new surveys or activities?
A: You’ll be emailed quick surveys or questions once or twice a month. If you think you’re receiving too many surveys (or not enough), just let us know.
Q: How long do the surveys take to complete?
A: The length of each survey will vary, but you will always be told how long it is expected to take. We try to keep them short, but for some complex issues they may take longer. You can always stop a survey part way through and return to it later.
Q: How soon do I have to complete surveys?
A: We will always inform you of the survey close date in the email invite. Our surveys are typically open for 10-14 days, although at times it will be shorter. If you can’t complete a survey on time, don't worry, you can always do the next one.
Q: How do I take part in a community activity?
A: We’ll notify you by email if there’s a new survey or activity. You can also log on to www.voiceyourchoice.com.au any time to share feedback or take a survey in the ‘Your activities’ section of the site.
Q: Do I need special computer hardware or software to participate?
A: Activities will run quickly and easily on most computer systems. All you need is:
- A recent version of one of the common internet browsers; and
- An email account
Some interactive features require Adobe Flash Player but it’s not required to be part of the community.
Q: Will my answers to surveys always be used anonymously?
A: Your answers will be combined with those from other members, and reported at an aggregate level (e.g. 20% of Voice Your Choice members think x). We would only quote you personally with your permission. In all other cases, your comments may be used anonymously.
Q: How are the results of the research used?
A: CHOICE uses the research results in various ways. It is often published in articles in CHOICE magazine and on our website as well as for our campaigning work. We also use Voice Your Choice to stay in touch with issues that matter to members and get feedback on ideas we might be considering. You’ll get to see the results of surveys and how they are used in our Voice Your Choice newsletter.
